The Bogey-Beast

However, there was a woman who was very happy, but there was nothing to make her feel that way. Because she is old, poor and lonely. Living in a small cabin, she worked for her neighbors, she got a meal here, a meal there, and subsisted on a pittance as a reward for her service. She then took a turn to stand up, and she was so happy and glad that she had no need in the world.

Now, one summer afternoon, she as she laughed as usual, what did she see but a big black pot lying in the gutter by the roadside!

"OMG!" she exclaimed. If I had something to put on it, it would be the same for me! But I do not have! Who will throw him in the ditch now?

She looked around her, hoping the owner wasn't far away. But no one saw her.

"Maybe there's a hole in it, that's why it's thrown away. But it's better to put a flower on my window, so I'm taking it home."

Saying so, she lifted the lid and looked inside it. "Have mercy on me!" she screamed. "If it's not full of gold nuggets, here's luck!"

It was also filled with large gold coins. Well, she at first she was still, either on her head or on her heels. Then she began to say:

"Law! But I feel rich. I feel wonderfully rich!"

After saying this several times, she began to wonder how to bring her treasure home. It was too heavy for her to carry, and she could think of no better way than to tie it with the end of her shawl and drag it behind her like a cart.

"It's getting dark soon," she told herself and moved away from her. "So! The neighbors won't see what I've brought home, and I'll spend the whole night wondering what I'm going to do! Maybe I'll buy a big house and sit. By the fire with a cup of tea, like a queen, It doesn't matter, I won't, or Maybe I'll bury it at the foot of the garden, and keep it in the old china teapot on the mantelpiece, or... well, well, I feel like I don't know myself ".

She was already quite tired from carrying so much load, and she stopped to rest for a while and looked at her treasure.

here! Not a pot of gold at all! It was just a piece of silver.

She looked at him, wiped her eyes, and looked at him again.

"Well, never have I!" she finally she said she. "And I thought it was a pot of gold! I must have been dreaming, but this is good luck! Silver is less of a problem - easy on the heart and not easy to steal. They would have been the death of me. A big nugget of silver with this-"

So she went back outside, planning what she was going to do, feeling rich to the point of exhaustion, and she stopped again to rest and look around her to see if her treasure was safe. She saw nothing but a large piece of iron.

"Well, never have I!" she says again. "I mistook it for silver! I must have been dreaming. But this is luck! It's really easy. I can get a penny for scrap, and a penny is a bargain to me more than your gold and silver. Why! I never they will rob me." But a penny is useful and I sold that iron for a lot of money and became a real rich man."

So she was full of plans on how to spend her pennies, and to rest once more, she looked around her to see if her treasure was safe. This time she saw nothing but a large rock.

"Well, never have I!" She burst out laughing. "To think I mistook it for iron. I must have been dreaming. But here's luck, and I needed a terrible stone to open the door. Alas! But it's a good change! It's a good thing. Good luck."

Then they all rushed to see how to open the stone door, and she went down the hill to her house. She unlocked the door and turned to untie the shawl from the stone behind her. Yes! It was all one stone. It was too light to see him lying there as peaceful as stone.

So she bent down to untie the end of the shawl: "Oh!" Suddenly, with a jump and a squeal, she was as big as a haystack in a moment. Then she lowered four big young legs, raised two long ears, fed a big long tail, kicked, screamed, whined and laughed like a naughty and mischievous child!

The old woman waited until she was out of sight, then smiled back.

"all right!" She laughed, "What luck! The luckiest body here. I'd like to see the phantom beast and get rid of it! My God! I feel great, such greatness!"

So she went to her cabin and spent the night laughing at her luck.
